Responsibilities
Handle incoming phone calls from patients, families, referral sources, and other customers. Create a positive experience for each caller by actively listening to their concerns and providing accurate and efficient responses. Utilize software, databases, call scripts, and tools appropriately. Maintain records of caller interactions, comments, and inquiries. Meet or exceed call center metrics while providing excellent and consistent customer service. Take part in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company and position.

  • Engage in active listening with callers to learn about and address their needs, concerns, or other inquiries related to VITAS hospice services.
  • Respond accurately and promptly to callers' inquiries, ensuring that callers feel supported and valued.
  • Maintain records of caller interactions, comments, and inquiries.
  • Utilize software, databases, call scripts, and tools appropriately.
  • Understand and strive to meet or exceed call center metrics while providing excellent and consistent customer service.
  • Take part in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company and position.
  • Build lasting relationships with other call center team members based on trust and reliability.
  • Immediately escalate any and all concerns to the appropriate Care Connection Center management team member.
