Job Title: Senior Program Manager

Job Summary:

The Senior Program Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing one or more strategic projects that are complex in scope, budget, and team. S/he identifies and requests necessary personnel and financial resources, determines tasks, assigns tasks, delegates authority, and motivates team members to work together for project success. The Senior Program Manager tracks progress, compares it to the planned progress, and ensures appropriate management of the OTC value chain throughout the project life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Defines project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Leads the development and management of the project work plan, including work sequencing, work breakdown structure, work delivery schedule, and resource allocation.
  • Team Management: Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel, identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team, and provides constructive feedback to team members.
  • Vendor Management: Manages vendors, assigns activities, and coordinates efforts during the development and support of IT solutions.
  • Communication: Informs stakeholders of project schedule, risks, and issues or changes to the plans, proactively.
  • Decision Making: Responsible for decisions related to the project, specifically but not exclusively, in regards to work sequencing, resource skill requirements, budget development, communication, and risk escalation.

Requirements:

  • Education: B.S. in Computer Science, Business, or related major or equivalent business experience.
  • Experience: 10+ years of IT / business experience, 10+ years of IT project management, and a proven track record of managing projects and/or programs.
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum.
