Job Overview

Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC is on the lookout for a skilled Project Manager to enhance our SES Construction and Fuels Services LLC (SCF) team. The successful candidate will have a robust background in the Federal construction sector. This position involves project scheduling, subcontractor oversight, client communication, safety and health management, and ensuring quality and compliance standards are met.

The role encompasses managing a diverse range of construction projects, including both design-build and bid-build formats, typically valued between $2M and $15M, with opportunities to oversee projects totaling up to $20M concurrently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the procurement process for subcontractors, coordinate construction activities, and supervise to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Work closely with executives to establish project objectives by effectively analyzing project RFPs and plans.
  • Efficiently manage labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors within the designated timeframe and budget.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, field staff, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluate and secure subcontracts, labor, materials, and equipment with precision.
  • Closely supervise projects to address any out-of-scope work requests, unforeseen conditions, and time impacts in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with superintendents, stakeholders, and team members to develop and revise project schedules.
  • Meticulously review project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Effectively manage invoicing tasks.
  • Review and execute subcontracts and purchase orders with diligence.
  • Oversee projects from the proposal stage through to closeout.
  • Promptly address issues arising from unforeseen conditions.
  • Encourage teamwork within the project execution team.
  • Coordinate efficiently with Quality Control and Safety representatives.
  • Ensure that project activities align with budget, plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Accurately forecast project cash flow in relation to the project schedule.
  • Diligently track the financial performance of projects.
  • Prepare detailed project reports for management and clients.
  • Interface effectively with clients to ensure project success.
  • Maintain and uphold our esteemed reputation throughout project execution.
  • Efficiently manage all project team activities.

Physical Requirements:

This role necessitates the ability to navigate work sites, communicate verbally with colleagues and clients, and maintain physical stamina for tasks such as bending, stooping, sitting, walking, climbing, or standing for extended periods. Candidates should be prepared for outdoor work in various weather conditions and may need to lift up to 35 pounds. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

Working Conditions:

The job entails a mix of office and outdoor site locations, with office work involving extensive use of computers. Outdoor work may include walking, driving, and carrying supplies in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates should possess a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience or a combination of experience and education equivalent to that.
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Ideal candidates will have 5-10 years of experience in Federal renovation and repair-type construction projects.
  • Experience in managing Design Build and Bid Build projects is essential.
  • Applicants should demonstrate the ability to effectively resolve technical construction-related issues.
  • Strong customer service skills are critical for this position.
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution is necessary.
  • A solid understanding of legal processes related to construction projects is required.
  • The candidate should be able to foster team morale and promote a strong team spirit.
  • Experience with scheduling, P6 Primavera, RMS, and Quality Control processes is advantageous.
