Position Summary:

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our high-speed processing and packaging machinery. This position involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on essential systems within our 24/7 Dairy Food Processing Facility. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team member focused on achieving line efficiency goals. This role requires a flexible work schedule, including 10-hour shifts that rotate throughout the week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proficiently troubleshoot and resolve issues using skills in Industrial Electrical (480V), AC/DC Theory, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Pumps, Mechanical Maintenance, Motors, Digital Electronics, Print Reading, Control Circuits, Power Supplies, Power Distribution, Test Instruments, and Computers.

• Understand and respond to operational urgency while supporting production demands.

• Adhere to safe operating practices for oneself and fellow operators.

• Implement established preventative maintenance protocols to sustain operational systems.

• Repair and replace faulty components as necessary.

• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments to ensure optimal performance.

• Conduct repairs on electrical instrumentation and control equipment.

• Collaborate effectively with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams, demonstrating strong communication skills.

• Experience with boiler operation and ammonia systems is advantageous.

• Meet educational requirements, including a minimum of twelfth-grade proficiency in math and reading.

• Successfully complete the Maintenance Skills Evaluation.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one year of relevant mechanical maintenance experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Work Environment:

While fulfilling the responsibilities of this position, employees may encounter moving mechanical parts, electrical hazards, and vibrations. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, high places, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme temperatures may also occur. The noise level in the work environment is typically very loud.

Compensation: $25.50-$35.50 per hour*

*The hourly rate is part of our comprehensive rewards package, which may include health and dental insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and holidays.
