Job Summary

The Environmental Conservation Coordinator will work with SFCC's Corpsmembers to develop their career goals and provide training and support to help them achieve success. This role will involve one-on-one meetings with corpsmembers, as well as group training sessions to help them develop essential skills such as time management, professionalism, and conflict resolution. The coordinator will also assist with providing supportive services and making referrals as needed. This includes housing assistance, mental health and wellness referrals, and other wrap-around services to help corpsmembers overcome social and financial barriers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess corpsmembers' interests, aptitudes, and abilities to assist in career and educational planning
  • Develop and implement in-service development training sessions and workshops to achieve career readiness and educational goals
  • Work with corpsmembers to develop individualized service plans based on their self-assessments and inventory of needed services
  • Coordinate with Field Operations Supervisors and staff to ensure corpsmembers attend education and development activities daily
  • Ensure all paperwork and application documents are collected and entered into funding source portals and SFCC's Salesforce database
  • Meet with each corpsmember individually at least once a quarter to ensure progress on their individual service plan
  • Coordinate with the Business Development Coordinator on job fairs, employer showcases, resume development, interview preparation, and job placement activities
  • Serve as a liaison with John Muir Charter School to ensure SFCC's corpsmembers are making progress and addressing any barriers that may arise
  • Track and enter corpsmember outcomes and progress in SFCC's Salesforce database and required funding source portals
