Administrative Specialist-Medical Staff Support

The Montgomery County MD is seeking an experienced Administrative Specialist III to join the Children Youth and Families team. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the successful candidate will provide administrative, fiscal, and technical support to the service area.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee fiscal and administrative responsibilities, including operating budget, P-CARD transactions, and reconciliations.
• Work closely with the Administrative Service Coordinator and the Department of Health Human Services' Human Resource team on position creation, recruitment, retention, payroll issues, and other administrative responsibilities.
• Provide support and work closely with the DHHS Contract Management Team for contract administration, including monitoring and compliance with County contract and procurement regulations.
• Manage the ongoing management of the CYF Fiscal and Contract related assignments.
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree preferably related to financial management or a health and human services field.
• Three (3) years of professional experience providing administrative, financial/fiscal, technical, and/or program management experience.
• Knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of County government organization and structure, County Personnel and Procurement Regulations, Administrative Procedures, collective bargaining agreements, contracting/procurement procedures, budget/fiscal procedures and processes, and federal, state, and local laws and regulations applicable to the programs of CYF.
• Ability to use personal computers and applications necessary to collect and analyze data and to access and produce budget/procurement documents and changes.
