This role plays a key part in the preparation and submission of all SEC documents, providing support in all areas of external financial reporting. Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
Coordinate with various finance and non-finance departments to obtain necessary information for SEC filings
Monitor changes in accounting and reporting requirements from the FASB, SEC, and other regulatory bodies
Assist in technical accounting and reporting research, assessing the impact of new requirements and implementing changes
Participate in the preparation of Board of Director and Audit Committee financial reports
Support the Investor Relations process by assisting in the preparation and review of quarterly earnings releases and related scripts
Monitor peer SEC filings to identify best practices for reporting and disclosure
Ensure the Company's disclosure controls and procedures documentation is updated quarterly
Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes, analyzing balance sheet and income statement account fluctuations
Prepare and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with AEO standards
Partner with the FP&A team in the preparation of internal budgets and forecasts
Assist in the analysis of performance to departmental budgets
Act as a quality control resource to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reports
Coordinate information requests for financial and SOX audits and reviews
Complete ad hoc financial projects as requested

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
2 years of public accounting and/or corporate experience, with experience in SEC filings and external reporting preferred
Strong knowledge of accounting practices and procedures
Excellent analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of personnel and management
Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting
High degree of proficiency with standard Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Windows
