Position Overview:

First Point Group is looking for a skilled Wireless Infrastructure Project Manager with extensive experience in In-Building Distributed Antenna System (DAS) installations and vendor transition projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the complete construction lifecycle for wireless infrastructure initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget while upholding exceptional quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Direct and manage several in-building DAS construction projects, particularly focusing on vendor transition efforts. Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and financial forecasts.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to guarantee the smooth execution of DAS vendor transition projects. Assess vendor performance and compliance with project requirements.
  • Site Assessment and Design Evaluation: Perform site assessments to determine project viability and provide technical guidance on DAS design strategies. Review and authorize design modifications as necessary.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish quality assurance protocols to ensure all construction activities meet industry benchmarks, client expectations, and regulatory standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations. Manage the permitting process, including liaising with relevant authorities.
  • Financial Oversight: Supervise project budgets, ensuring timely delivery within financial limits. Address any financial challenges that may arise during the construction process.
  • Safety Oversight: Foster a safety-first culture across all job sites. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promptly address any safety concerns.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain precise and current project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and project closeout materials. Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding project status.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor on-site construction teams, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment. Resolve any on-site challenges or disputes that may occur.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for clients throughout the construction process. Address client inquiries and ensure high levels of satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in wireless construction management, with a focus on in-building DAS installations and vendor transition projects.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of DAS technologies, RF principles, and telecommunications infrastructure. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices is essential.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish. PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Vendor Coordination: Experience in collaborating with multiple vendors and subcontractors. Ability to effectively evaluate and manage vendor performance.
  • Communication Proficiency: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to engage with clients, vendors, and team members at all levels.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities. Capacity to foresee and address issues proactively.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Certifications: OSHA certification and other relevant construction or telecommunications certifications are highly desirable.
  • Willingness to Travel: Flexibility to travel to various job sites as required.
