Core Responsibilities of a Branch Operations Leader:
- Full-Time, Exempt Position.
- Standard working hours are set from 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Participation in after-hours and weekend community events as required for business objectives.
Key Duties as a Branch Operations Leader:
In this position, you will cultivate and enhance a branch with the aim of delivering an exceptional experience for our members and team. Act as a catalyst for positive transformation by overseeing all aspects of branch operations, development, and supporting your team through a servant leadership approach.
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, mentor, and motivate assigned personnel through a servant leadership model and ongoing coaching.
- Embody the Credit Union's mission, vision, and core values by acting as a cultural ambassador, inspiring team members to reach higher standards, and fostering a commitment to an exceptional member experience.
- Collaborate with all assigned team members to facilitate intentional career development.
- Manage all supervisory responsibilities, including scheduling, performance coaching, daily operations, and training.
- Prepare new hires and train existing staff by guiding them through the established training programs from Learning & Development (L&D).
Branch Growth Management:
- Enhance branch performance through a relationship-driven sales approach focused on delivering an outstanding member experience and increasing member engagement.
- Lead the successful achievement of branch objectives.
- In partnership with your leadership team, evaluate local market conditions and identify current and future growth opportunities.
- Champion community outreach and volunteer initiatives to broaden the Credit Union's impact.
- Engage in local community activities that promote strategic growth of the Credit Union brand and contribute to your personal professional development.
Branch Operations Oversight:
- Supervise all facets of branch operations, including member relations, security, cash management, ATM and vault operations, compliance, and timekeeping.
- Ensure the branch is adequately staffed with the support of HR and L&D, employing qualified and well-trained team members.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in all areas of Branch Operations, particularly in fraud prevention and loss mitigation.
- Conduct regular audits of cash drawers, safety deposit boxes, and spot checks of team member transactions.
- Propose process enhancements to optimize efficiency or reduce costs.
- Assist team members in resolving complex member inquiries.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the Credit Union's Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Policy and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Procedures. BSA training must be completed within 90 days of employment and annually thereafter.
- Complete compliance and professional development training as assigned.
- Act as a Notary Public and provide Medallion Signature Guarantee services as required.
- Lead and delegate special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a credit union or banking environment.
- Skills in Networking, Coaching, Problem Solving, Verbal & Written Communication, and Servant Leadership.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a credit union or banking setting.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
