Summary
Provides administrative and sales support for Residential Loan Officers and interacts with customers and members of the Residential Lending Operations team in order to promote Leader Bank's various mortgage products and services. With all mortgage leads provided by the Bank, the In-House HELOC Specialist will be primarily responsible for completing consumer applications, following up on documentation required for processing transactions, and bringing loans to close in accordance with Leader Bank policies and procedures. It is essential that the candidate demonstrates the ability to work in a fast-paced, inside sales environment.
Responsibilities

  • Originating, pre-underwriting, and evaluating Home Equity Line of Credit applications.
  • Manage customer experience through the entire loan process, from origination and analysis through loan closing.
  • Focus on marketing activities and promotional strategies to attract new customers.
  • Aggressively promote Leader Bank to real estate agents, builders, developers, financial planners and other referral sources.
  • Responsible for making contacts throughout the community, networking and developing both your and Leader Banks reputation as a trusted financial advisor to customers.
  • Meeting with potential customers to understand their financial needs and finding the best mortgage product to suit those needs.
  • Develops and implements processes and procedures to actively seek account retention while adhering to policies and procedures.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or educational equivalent.
  • Solid time management skills and the ability to prioritize activities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with team members.
  • Ability to learn and navigate multiple systems/applications/workflows.
  • Ability to exhibit grace under pressure, while successfully navigating stressful work assignments or situations efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines under stressful conditions.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Prior loan origination or sales experience at a local bank or mortgage lender preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to make presentations.
  • This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
