Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative with Genuine Parts Company, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by accurately fulfilling customer orders and managing incoming customer calls under close supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, provide quotes, and handle order entry with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

• Place customer orders via various channels, including telephone, fax, email, and electronic methods, while ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.

• Negotiate sales prices and purchase prices within established parameters to maximize gross profit for Genuine Parts Company.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to drive repeat business and improve customer satisfaction.

• Source products from branch inventory, distribution centers, or suppliers to meet customer needs and maintain optimal inventory levels.

• Determine the most cost-effective shipping methods for customer orders and ensure timely delivery.

• Collaborate with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise.

• Expedite backorders, pull inventory, and prepare orders for shipment to customers as needed.

• Handle customer returns and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and zero to three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Moderate computer skills, including proficiency in business systems and ability to search for products online.

• Product knowledge is preferred, but not required.
