Key Responsibilities of the Site Operations Manager

  • Coordinate the scheduling of subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and vendors to ensure timely project completion.
  • Supervise work and materials to guarantee that quality control standards are maintained throughout various stages of the project.
  • Engage with the project team and assist subcontractors in executing their duties effectively and efficiently.
  • Conduct inspections or arrange for inspectors to comply with the safety and regulatory requirements of each job site.
  • Maintain a detailed daily log documenting visitors, actions taken, materials used, and issues resolved on-site.
  • Travel between multiple job sites while managing the workload of individual projects simultaneously.
  • Identify and address issues and conflicts, organize meetings, and collaborate with team members across various roles as needed.
  • Set a standard for maintaining an organized and clean job site, including adherence to waste disposal and environmental protection protocols.

Qualifications for the Site Operations Manager

  • Proficient in software applications such as Procore, Master Builder, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Capable of drafting reports and professional correspondence.
  • Strong understanding of technical documents, including safety regulations, assembly instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills, particularly when interacting with clients, customers, or official visitors.
  • A keen ability to identify non-compliance with regulations or standards and propose solutions for any deficiencies.
  • Familiarity with office equipment operation, including digital cameras, fax machines, computers, copiers, and telephones.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate varying climate conditions.
  • Experience in managing demanding clients and providing innovative solutions to meet their needs.
