Overview: As the Procurement Team Leader at Cattron, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our regional purchasing operations. This position entails providing leadership to the purchasing team while ensuring effective transactional support. Your key duties will encompass optimizing inventory levels, managing supplier partnerships in line with our global sourcing strategies, and guaranteeing the timely delivery of essential goods to support our manufacturing objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and mentor a team of purchasing professionals, offering guidance to meet departmental targets and uphold standardized processes.
  • Collaborate in formulating raw material inventory strategies and take charge of their execution and ongoing assessment.
  • Ensure the prompt availability of raw materials by establishing, maintaining, and overseeing inventory to align with manufacturing goals.
  • Assist in the implementation of the Global Sourcing strategy.
  • Monitor, assess, and execute engineering modifications in partnership with the global sourcing team as necessary.
  • Utilize purchasing best practices to minimize total ownership costs and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and oversee raw material availability to meet manufacturing requirements.
  • Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers, fostering continuous improvements in quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, production, and finance teams to synchronize purchasing strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Engage with the quality control team to ensure all procured components adhere to specified standards and requirements. Manage the RMA process and enforce supplier accountability for quality concerns.
  • Lead by example, actively participating in tasks as needed (e.g., entering purchase orders in the MRP system, resolving invoicing discrepancies).
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a small team that consistently meets or exceeds performance targets.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and supply chain management tools.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain best practices and the ability to effectively implement them.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for interpreting data to make informed decisions.
  • Proven success in managing supplier relationships, optimizing inventory levels, achieving cost reductions, and enhancing supply chain efficiency.
  • Dedicated to pursuing professional certifications to further skills and contribute to organizational success.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, and/or supervisory roles.
  • CPIM certification preferred.
  • Experience in an electronics manufacturing setting is advantageous.
