Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all purchasing activities for assigned categories.
- Manage requests for quotes and bids.
- Support our sales team by sourcing products from established suppliers.
- Collaborate with the sourcing team to ensure competitive pricing and effective purchasing aligned with company objectives.
- Handle RFQ processes for all commodities.
- Address vendor payment concerns with the Finance team to ensure compliance with financial commitments.
- Partner with Product Management to provide domestic alternatives for out-of-stock items and enhance sales for the assigned product category.
- Update order information in the system database regarding expected delivery dates, costs, etc.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to junior members of the purchasing team.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process enhancements.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Fundamental procurement skills, evidenced by certification (APICS, SPSM) preferred but not mandatory.
- Understanding of supply chain concepts and purchasing procedures.
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
