Job Overview

Position Summary:

The selected candidate will function as a senior procurement specialist and a technical authority on acquisition-related issues within the designated organization. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of all functions and elements associated with the designated acquisition program(s), including pertinent Government statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and advisory support to acquisition professionals.
  • Engage with programs involved in the procurement of military vehicle systems, subsystems, or components, as well as logistic support and services.
  • Oversee workload management to ensure that priorities align with organizational requirements.

Essential Qualifications:

Due to the sensitive nature of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

Ability to secure a security clearance is required.

Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED along with 5+ years of relevant experience.

In-depth knowledge of DoD acquisition systems, policies, regulations, and compliance issues.

Extensive understanding of the DoD procurement process, automation, and procurement requirements, enabling the development and management of a broad range of procurement-related issues.

Proficient in the defense acquisition cycle, business strategy principles, contract types, and management objectives.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to provide expert technical leadership, analysis, and consultation in procurement-related areas.

Capability to formulate effective strategies, exercise initiative, and apply seasoned technical knowledge to develop and implement procurement solutions within established guidelines.

Ability to utilize a wide array of analytical and evaluation techniques, fostering team collaboration and policy development based on current policy interpretations.

Technical Skills:

Five (5) years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat is required.
