Automation Control Specialist Job Overview

We are in search of an Automation Control Specialist to join a vibrant automation integration firm. This position offers a direct hire opportunity with limited travel requirements. The preferred candidate will possess substantial expertise in Allen Bradley PLC Programming and familiarity with Siemens systems. A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is advantageous, although candidates with diverse levels of PLC experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement electrical systems for cutting-edge automation machinery.
  • Leverage SCADA for effective data transmission across various machines.
  • Design and program Allen Bradley PLCs and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
  • Diagnose and enhance control systems to address challenges.
  • Modernize existing systems and incorporate new control technologies.
  • Integrate robotics and vision systems into automation frameworks.
  • Commission new equipment and perform occasional service tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Allen-Bradley PLCs, including MicroLogix and RSLogix 5000, Factory Talk, HMI, AutoCAD, and SCADA.
  • Experience with Data Control Systems; familiarity with Siemens is a plus.
  • A BSEE Degree is preferred, but not essential.
  • Robotics knowledge is beneficial.
  • Strong mechanical skills for hands-on activities.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting abilities and capacity to work autonomously or collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% for brief trips during the week, with weekends typically free.
