We are currently seeking a skilled Construction Financial Analyst to join a prominent interior construction firm.

Key Responsibilities of the Construction Financial Analyst:

  • Oversee the financial aspects of projects, including monitoring subcontractor payments, accounts payable processing, client invoicing, and budget management.
  • Analyze discrepancies and ensure timely billing to clients while facilitating the collection of payments.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to address and resolve any accounting-related inquiries.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of project costs, including revenue, profitability, and cash flow.
  • Engage in hands-on cost accounting for various projects, which encompasses client invoicing, subcontractor accounts payable, and budget oversight.
  • Review contracts and related documents to grasp the financial components of projects, such as contract value, billing schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Provide weekly accounts receivable and project closeout reports to management.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure alignment and support.
  • Ensure adherence to existing Project Accounting and all Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Proactively monitor projects from a risk management standpoint and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple project managers and their teams.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with CMiC is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in construction project finance is preferred.
