  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, collaborating with project managers to monitor project budgets, analyze variances, and project profitability.
  • Financial Systems and Processes: Utilize Construction ERP systems effectively to optimize processes, track project costs, and improve financial reporting. Manage accounting for captives, including premium calculations, claims management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Audits: Facilitate external audits for financial statements, ensuring a smooth process for auditors.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to the finance team, including training and mentorship opportunities.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Take ownership of special projects and perform additional reporting tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or similar financial certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience within the construction industry, showcasing expertise in construction accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in Construction ERP systems (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint, CMiC).
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Exceptional analytical skills, capable of interpreting financial data and identifying key trends relevant to construction projects.
  • Thorough understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements pertinent to construction accounting.
