POSITION SUMMARY

As the Production Stream Leader, you will oversee and unify the efforts of operational teams across various shifts to guarantee that high-quality products are produced in safe and hygienic conditions. This pivotal leadership position is essential for executing the company's strategic plans, and you will play a significant role in embodying the foundational values of the organization. This position reports directly to the Plant Director and collaborates closely with the Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Human Resources, Finance, and IT departments. You will have direct reports that include production supervisors and will support all production team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Operational Management - Oversee the activities of operational teams across multiple lines, departments, and technologies within a production stream, ensuring efficient conversion of materials into high-quality products while adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

· Site Operating System Advocacy - Actively promote and support the site’s Operating System. Engage in value stream information flow and escalation processes as necessary. Mentor direct reports and others in the Operating System, ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are current and reviewed annually.

· Change Leadership - Propose and implement modifications in methods, equipment, systems, and organizational structure to meet area objectives. Collaborate with other departments to achieve operational goals.

· Employee Relations - Manage employee relations proactively; guide the hiring, training, and development of operations team members while fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.

· Quality Assurance - Ensure the continuous production of safe and defect-free products, championing quality goals and improvements at the operational level.

· Performance Measurement - Work with operations teams to establish performance standards and goals aligned with site objectives; monitor, control, and report results as necessary.

· Troubleshooting and Technical Support - Guide technical resources in troubleshooting and repairing process and packaging equipment to maintain desired performance levels.

· Effective Communication - Foster open communication channels and identify opportunities for expanding the responsibilities of operations teams.

· Technological Advancements - Advise the Site Director on opportunities for technological improvements that could enhance production efficiency and product quality.

· Strategic Participation - Collaborate with the Site Director and other operational support members to implement short-term and long-term improvement strategies for enhanced production performance.

· Team Development - Evaluate team member performance in conjunction with their career aspirations, creating development plans to unlock their potential.

· Site Leadership - Be prepared to represent the Site Director in their absence, ensuring the protection of human and physical assets and addressing any operational issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:

  • Technical experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • Food manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and achieve results.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a scientific discipline, or a related field is strongly preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a consumer products environment is required, with a preference for diverse operational experience.

• Experience in continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies.

• Relevant certifications and audit experience with regulatory bodies are advantageous.
