Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical environment, including exams and procedures.
  • Promote efficient patient flow and patient care, ensuring exams and procedures are conducted in a timely and organized manner.
  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms as necessary.
  • Record patient data prior to each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
  • Obtain all necessary patient records as required by physicians prior to treatment or procedures.
  • Schedule patient tests, procedures, and hospital admissions, as well as schedule appointments to follow up on test results as needed.
  • Arrange for pre-authorizations and pre-certifications as necessary.
  • Perform other administrative duties as requested by supervisors or physicians.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a multi-physician practice, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants.
  • Ability to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of the profession and industry.
  • CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) certification is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel between sites as needed.
