We are seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Riverside Health System. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians in delivering high-quality eye care services.
Key Responsibilities- Greets patients, reviews and documents their complaints, and performs clinical measures to include visual acuities, slit lamp exams, and diagnostic tests.
- Facilitates patient education through brochures and videos, and prepares prescription refills for physician review and signature.
- Prepares referral and dictation letters, returns calls to patients and pharmacies with medical questions, and participates in new employee on-boarding to enhance retention and reduce turnover of staff.
- Monitors and supports departmental productivity, maintains a clean and safe work area, and adheres to facility, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.
- Effectively utilizes technology to increase efficiency, including equipment, Group Management, MedFlow, Electronic Health Record, and Microsoft Office Programs.
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
- Program Graduate, Optical Tech (Preferred)
- 1 year Ophthalmology/Optometry clinical experience (Preferred)
