Position Overview:
The Resource Specialist - Special Education Teacher plays a crucial role within our student services department, working closely with students to assess their unique needs and foster a nurturing educational atmosphere that empowers them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate Cascade Christian Schools' core values into all professional activities.
- Facilitate spiritual growth opportunities for students.
- Collaborate with grade-level support teams to monitor student progress and tailor support strategies.
- Actively participate in campus leadership teams to address student service referrals.
- Develop and manage individualized support plans addressing behavioral, emotional, and academic challenges, with annual reviews.
- Oversee documentation related to student evaluations, objectives, and progress.
- Work alongside general education teachers to implement effective modifications and accommodations for at-risk students.
- Assess and identify students' learning styles and developmental needs.
- Promote awareness and application of specific accommodations for students.
- Collaborate on RTI benchmarking and progress monitoring initiatives.
- Provide intensive support for students' academic, behavioral, and social/emotional needs.
- Design and implement inclusive instructional strategies tailored to students with disabilities and specific diagnoses.
- Engage with parents, teachers, and community resources to address academic and personal concerns.
- Lead parent meetings as necessary to discuss student progress and support.

Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State teaching certification.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to participate in school events and meetings.
- First-aid and CPR certification or readiness to obtain certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Special Education.
- Endorsement as a Reading or Math Specialist.
- Minimum of three years' experience as a classroom teacher.

Reports To:
Director of Student Services and Campus Principal.

Work Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Compensation:
Salary range of $42,000 - $56,927, commensurate with qualifications.
