Position Overview:
The Resource Specialist - Special Education Teacher plays a crucial role within our Student Services Department. This position focuses on working closely with students to assess their unique needs and foster a nurturing educational atmosphere that provides the necessary resources for them to achieve their God-given potential.

Core Responsibilities:
1. Integrate the guiding principles of Cascade Christian Schools into all activities.
2. Facilitate spiritual growth opportunities for students.
3. Collaborate with grade-level support teams to monitor student progress and tailor support strategies.
4. Actively participate in campus leadership teams to address student service referrals.
5. Develop and manage individualized support plans for students with behavioral, emotional, or academic challenges, revising them annually as necessary.
6. Oversee the documentation and communication of student evaluations, objectives, and progress.
7. Work alongside general education teachers to identify at-risk students and implement creative solutions for necessary modifications or accommodations.
8. Assess and identify students' lagging skills and learning styles.
9. Promote the understanding and application of specific accommodations and modifications for students.
10. Collaborate with teachers and leadership to implement Response to Intervention (RTI) strategies and monitor progress.
11. Provide intensive support for students facing academic, behavioral, and social/emotional challenges.
12. Design and deliver instruction that aligns with biblical inclusion principles tailored to the needs of students with disabilities.
13. Engage with parents, teachers, and community resources to address students' academic, personal, social, and spiritual needs.
14. Lead parent meetings as required.
15. Supervise instructional assistants and manage their daily responsibilities.

Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State teaching certification.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability for scheduled school events and meetings.
- First-aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Special Education.
- Endorsement as a Reading or Math Specialist.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a classroom teacher.

Reporting Structure:
This position reports to the Director of Student Services and the Campus Principal.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $42,000 - $56,927, depending on qualifications.
