Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Construction Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the review and evaluation of vendor proposals to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate subcontractor payments with the office bookkeeper to ensure timely and accurate payment.
  • Research and procure project materials, ensuring compliance with company specifications and industry standards.
  • Coordinate permit applications and construction sign-offs with office personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Establish and maintain contract agreements with owners and subcontractors, ensuring clear understanding of project scope and expectations.
  • Update project schedules to reflect changes and progress, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Conduct field surveys of projects during construction to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
  • Assist in on-site project meetings to ensure clear communication and coordination among project stakeholders.
  • Set up and make various phone calls to communicate with project stakeholders, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Assist with office phone calls, filing, faxing, scanning, copying, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Schedule meetings and coordinate attendees to ensure effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.
  • Interface with clients and designers to ensure clear understanding of project scope and expectations.
  • Acquire new vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure a diverse and reliable network of partners.
  • Process proposals and change orders, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
  • Process post-meeting notes, ensuring clear communication and coordination among project stakeholders.
  • Visit job sites daily to track progress and ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
  • Update submittals logs and follow up with respective subcontractors, vendors, and architects to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
  • Process approved vendor proposals, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Requirements:
  • Must have a valid driver's license and own means of transportation.
  • Having experience in the construction or architectural industry is a plus.
  • Having an education in construction or architectural school is a plus.
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Project, and other industry-standard software.
  • Having an NYC DOB Expediter license is a plus.
  • Having estimating experience is a plus.
