Construction Field Supervisor

G-Net Construction Corp. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Building Construction Field Supervisor to join our growing team. We are a well-established, family-owned general construction and architectural design firm with a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship and client satisfaction.

As a leading provider of construction services in the New York City area for over 65 years, we specialize in a wide range of projects, including hospitals, schools, commercial buildings, and more. We pride ourselves on our collaborative work environment and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all project subcontractors, as well as our own construction crews, ensuring seamless coordination and efficient workflow.
  • Monitor subcontractor activities to guarantee compliance with specifications, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain detailed daily logs for payroll, material lists, work progress, and other essential project documentation.
  • Collaborate with architects to ensure that fieldwork aligns with the provided blueprints and design plans.
  • Conduct weekly OSHA Safety Checklists and Toolbox meetings to promote a safe and productive work environment.
  • Coordinate with vendors to place timely material orders while adhering to project budgets.
  • Develop and maintain a two-week look-ahead schedule to effectively plan and manage project timelines.
  • Communicate project clarifications, changes, and updates to subcontractors promptly and clearly.
  • Track weekly project progress and ensure adherence to the established schedule.
On smaller projects, you will also be involved in hands-on tasks such as:
  • Partition framing and drywall installation
  • Finish carpentry (wood moldings, handrails, etc.)
  • Doorframe, door, and hardware installation, as well as window installation
  • Toilet accessory installation
  • Cement board and bathroom waterproofing membrane installation
  • Wood floor patching
  • Rough carpentry (floor joists, exterior and roof sheathing, underlayment, etc.)
  • Drop drywall and ACT ceiling framing
  • VCT flooring and vinyl base installation
  • Wood stairs installations
  • Rubber risers and treads - Drywall partition framing and drywall installation
Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills in English are essential.
  • Strong attention to detail, neat work habits, and proficiency with smartphones are required.
  • Possess your own hand tools, basic power tools, and the ability to operate them effectively.
  • Valid OSHA-10 card is mandatory.
  • Basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC skills/knowledge are necessary.
  • Hold a valid NYS Driver's License.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints is crucial.
