Experienced Construction Carpenter

G-Net Construction Corp. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Construction Carpenter / Foreman to join our growing team. We are a reputable, family-owned general construction and architectural design firm with a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship and client satisfaction.
As a leading provider of construction services in New York City for over 65 years, we specialize in various sectors, including hospitals, nonprofit organizations, schools, commercial facilities, and medical buildings. We pride ourselves on our expertise in building construction, interior renovation, architecture and design, mold remediation, fire restoration, and sustainable projects.
Core Responsibilities:
- Expertly execute a wide range of carpentry tasks, including drywall framing and installation, window and door installation, finish carpentry (moldings, handrails, trim), door hardware installation, cement board and waterproofing membrane application, wood floor patching, rough carpentry (joists, sheathing, underlayment), drop ceiling framing, wood stair installations, and wood and Trex deck framing.
- Collaborate effectively with the field supervisor to ensure projects are completed according to specifications and timelines.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Possess exceptional communication skills and the ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Have your own set of hand tools, basic power tools, and proficiency in their operation.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States and possess a valid Social Security card.
- Hold an OSHA-40 certification.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems is highly advantageous.
- A valid New York State Driver's License is preferred.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading is beneficial.
