Job Title: Patient Appointment Services Clerk

Job Summary:

Epic Government is seeking a highly skilled Patient Appointment Services Clerk to join our team at the Puget Sound Military Appointing Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in scheduling and coordinating appointments for our beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments as needed, ensuring compliance with DHA business policies and procedures.
  • Verify beneficiary eligibility and interpret requests for appointments, applying the appropriate appointing criteria and directives.
  • Maximize utilization of direct care capacity, ensuring beneficiaries are scheduled at a PS eMSM MTF within DHA ATC standards and drive time standards.
  • Responsible for mailing specialty care appointment information to beneficiaries and validating DEERS eligibility.
  • Employ standard customer service scripts to optimize a positive patient experience.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency.
  • Skilled in Word, Excel, Access, and other software programs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Able to define problems and obtain solutions.
  • Must be able to obtain clearance to access the work site and be granted a Common Access Card (CAC).
