GovCIO Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time, remote position that requires strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities.

About the Role:
This position involves reviewing and remedying ACAS scans, supporting general RMF activities, and ensuring patching, vulnerability remediation, and STIGing for assigned programs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures to protect program data, systems, and networks.

Responsibilities:
* Manage multiple closed environments and ensure timely patching and vulnerability remediation
* Plan, implement, monitor, and upgrade security measures to protect program data, systems, and networks
* Troubleshoot technical security and network problems
* Collaborate with intrusion analysts to identify, report on, and coordinate remediation of cyberthreats
* Assess client security posture using knowledge of computer systems and networks and cyber threat information
* Research hackers, techniques, vulnerabilities, and exploits, and provide detailed briefings and intelligence reports to leadership
* Conduct monthly vulnerability scans and assessments of servers, addressing findings and mitigations
* Respond to assigned tasks, incidents, and service requests

Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent with 9+ years of experience
* Secret clearance required; must be able to obtain Top Secret clearance
* IAT level II certification within 90 days of hire (e.g., CompTIA Security+(CE))
* Computing Environment certification within 90 days of hire (e.g., AWS, Linux, Windows)
* Demonstrated experience and understanding of DOD Security, RMF, and/or NIST Policies
