About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at GovCIO. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for reviewing and remediating ACAS scans and supporting general RMF activities in a fully remote environment with infrequent travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple closed environments, ensuring patching, vulnerability remediation, and STIGing for assigned programs.
  • Plan, implement, monitor, and upgrade security measures for the protection of program data, systems, and networks.
  • Collaborate with intrusion analysts to identify, report on, and coordinate remediation of cyber threats to clients.
  • Leverage technical knowledge of computer systems and networks with cyber threat information to assess client security posture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent with 9+ years of experience (or commensurate experience).
  • Clearance Required: Secret; must be able to obtain Top Secret clearance.
  • IAT level II certification within 90 days of hire (e.g., CompTIA Security+ (CE)).
  • Computing Environment certification within 90 days of hire (e.g., AWS, Linux, Windows).
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of DOD Security, RMF, and/or NIST Policies.
Benefits and Salary

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $140,000 and $160,000 per year, based on the job requirements and location. We offer a competitive benefits package, including opportunities for professional growth and development.
