About the Role

The Vertex Companies, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Director to join our national Claims, Disputes and Forensics practice. This role involves identifying and closing new business opportunities with attorney groups and insurance company clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • New Client Acquisition:
    • Develop and maintain a steady pipeline of new sales opportunities through existing relationships in your network, networking with our existing client base and other means.
    • Generate new leads and nurture them through the sales funnel, focusing on establishing relationships with key decision-makers at law firms and insurance companies.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution:
    • Develop and execute a sales plan with clear goals to meet or exceed sales targets for new business.
    • Negotiate contracts and close deals with new clients, ensuring a smooth handover to the service delivery teams.
  • Market Research & Prospecting:
    • Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities in the expert services sector and target new areas for expansion.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and key players to inform sales tactics and refine targeting strategies.
  • Sales Pipeline Management:
    • Maintain CRM/Salesforce to track leads, opportunities, and deal progress, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field to our professional services offerings.
  • 10+ years of experience in business development or sales, focused on generating new business with attorney group and insurance company clients. Prior experience selling "expert witness" services required.
  • Strong prospecting skills with a proven ability to develop leads from scratch.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary range for this role is $120K to $150K, based on qualifications. We offer a highly competitive, uncapped commission structure designed to reward your performance and drive unlimited earning potential.
