Job Summary:

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing complex diagnostic procedures using state-of-the-art computerized MRI diagnostic imaging equipment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate diagnostic results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including MRI exams, utilizing advanced computerized equipment.
  • Assist Radiologists in invasive and biopsy procedures using MRI equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Program computer systems to ensure accurate completion of exams and storage of scan data on PACS for future reference.
  • Coordinate and prioritize procedures to maintain high patient care and continuity.
  • Ensure accurate coding and entry of charges in the billing system.
  • Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and standards as promulgated by State and Federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Graduate of AMA-approved School of Radiological Sciences or equivalent required. 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred. 3 years of experience in a clinical imaging setting highly preferred. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification from ARRT or ARMRIT preferred. Current state licensure required. Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
