Role Summary: The Vice President of Student Financial Services is responsible for leading the departments of Student Financial Aid, Student Employment, and Marquette Central. This role collaborates closely with various stakeholders to manage all facets of financial aid and enrollment services for both undergraduate and graduate/professional students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and visionary leadership for the Student Financial Services departments, ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee staff management, including recruitment, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Collaborate with university leadership to develop effective financial aid policies and communication strategies.
  • Manage federal, state, private, and institutional financial aid resources.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with on-campus and off-campus partners, representing the office at various conferences.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations as well as university policies.
  • Oversee the departmental budget to implement cost-effective strategies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in student financial aid and customer service.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Proven supervisory experience with effective team management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Title IV Federal Student Aid programs.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or similar systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • FAAC certification.
  • NASFAA credentials.
  • Commitment to the Jesuit Catholic educational mission.
