Museum Operations Manager

About the Role
">The Project Management Specialist will support the Executive team in developing and implementing large-scale projects that enhance visitor experience and drive engagement. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong project management skills and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
">- Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Collaborate with museum staff, trustees, curators, consultants, and external partners to define project goals, objectives, and deliverables
- Manage project budgets, monitoring expenses, tracking project expenditures, and reconciling invoices and processing payments
- Coordinate and communicate project updates to stakeholders, keeping them informed about project milestones, challenges, and successes
Requirements
">- Bachelor's degree in museum studies, arts administration, project management, or a related field or equivalent years' experience (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in a museum or cultural institution managing large-scale arts and culture projects and programs
- Strong knowledge of museum operations, multigenerational learning spaces, and project management methodologies
- Considerable experience in facilitating community and other stakeholder meetings; managing scope, scale, and resources on multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial management principles
- Excellent organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Salary and Benefits
">This position offers a competitive salary of $95,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, fully paid short-term disability insurance, long-term disability insurance, and life insurance, health savings or flexible spending account program, retirement savings program with museum match, paid vacation, personal days, sick days, and holidays, and more.
