Lee Enterprises is seeking a dedicated full-time press operator to become an integral part of our team, responsible for operating the printing press to produce the Grand Island Independent along with various other regional newspapers and commercial print projects.
This role involves collaborating with team members to ensure print products are created according to client specifications and delivered within set timelines.Duties encompass loading newsprint, preparing pasters, overseeing reel stands, adjusting ink densities, ensuring proper registration, filling ink fountains, configuring folders, producing plates, maintaining a clean and safe press environment, and performing additional tasks as assigned.
The ideal candidate will be at least 18 years old, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., able to differentiate colors, possess mechanical skills, and be willing to work night shifts as necessary.
