Position: Foodservice Sales Business Manager (Remote)

The Foodservice Sales Business Manager will report directly to the Director of Foodservice & QSR. This role is pivotal in crafting and implementing strategies aimed at enhancing sales of both private label and branded products to major broadline foodservice distributors. The successful candidate will be tasked with cultivating and maintaining customer relationships, overseeing broadline distributor management, and ensuring market competitiveness and product assortment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily relationships with a thorough understanding of customer objectives and long-term business plans.
  • Collaborate with the foodservice team and Shearer's Commercial Team (SCT) partners to drive profitable revenue growth.
  • Guide cross-functional teams within Shearer's to achieve project goals related to foodservice sales, ensuring compliance with sales requirements and specifications.
  • Develop sales strategies through market analysis, customer alignment, and proactive financial planning.
  • Utilize Shearer's resources to strengthen and expand strategic partnerships with customers.
  • Address inquiries and resolve issues from foodservice clients effectively.
  • Engage with customers to identify concerns, understand their business needs, and translate these into market trends.
  • Ensure the efficient delivery of value-added solutions related to foodservice sales.
  • Communicate information clearly across internal teams to inspire a unified vision of objectives.
  • Organize and lead customer meetings at Shearer's facilities, involving cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee new product initiatives from concept through to launch.
  • Exhibit strategic agility and collaborative planning in business forecasting.
  • Travel is required for customer engagements, trade shows, and training sessions, approximately 60% of the time.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Six to ten years of business development experience, preferably in manufacturing, supply chain, and consumer food products, with a focus on private label.
  • Proven sales experience in the foodservice industry, particularly with leading broadline distributors, demonstrating year-over-year sales growth through effective strategies and competitive analysis.
  • Experience managing a national broker network to optimize sales and negotiate distributor marketing programs, with a successful track record in collaborating with foodservice accounts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, data analysis, forecasting, and sales performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking to resolve complex, high-impact challenges.
  • Ability to manage projects independently while enjoying collaboration with cross-functional teams; attention to detail and adaptability are essential.
