Position Overview:

The role of an Entry-Level Parts Sales Consultant involves gaining practical experience within a well-maintained and secure parts department at Progressive Auto Group.

Our dedicated team of experienced supervisors is committed to mentoring entry-level parts sales associates, equipping them with the skills necessary to perform fundamental automotive services while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist technicians in identifying and ordering required parts
- Promptly respond to customer inquiries regarding parts or information
- Communicate with customers regarding potential back orders and suggest alternatives
- Determine availability and pricing information, documenting as needed
- Provide parts to customers from inventory, source locally, or initiate a parts order as instructed
- Monitor the status of customer orders, addressing any issues and notifying upon arrival
- Maintain inventory control
- Capable of loading and unloading freight using a forklift
- Knowledgeable in shipping and receiving freight from various carriers

Customer Interaction:
- Greet customers in a friendly and timely manner

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude or experience in automotive or truck mechanics
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds
- Strong communication skills
- Professional appearance and work ethic
- Positive attitude with a high-energy personality
- CDK experience is a plus
- Experience with GM, CDJR, or dealership settings is preferred
- Forklift certification is advantageous
