Job Overview

Legends Care Center is in search of a Business Office Manager. This role is crucial for managing all aspects of the Business Office, particularly in the areas of Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and resident financial documentation, ensuring accurate reporting to corporate stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate business office operations, focusing on employee safety, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and customer service.
  • Manage reception duties to ensure efficient front office operations.
  • Guarantee the timely and precise submission of billing to relevant reimbursement agencies and private payers.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive financial records for residents, including billing, admission documentation, and reimbursement forms.
  • Coordinate the collection of accounts receivable and manage overdue accounts.
  • Review payment policies with new admissions and their responsible parties.
  • Maintain accurate receipt records, process deposits, and manage cash receipts batch listings.
  • Administer and reconcile resident trust accounts and petty cash.
  • Address family inquiries regarding service billing.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with employees, residents, visitors, vendors, and corporate personnel.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of bookkeeping experience in a healthcare environment, specifically in managing A/R, A/P, and payroll functions.
  • Experience with Medicaid processes.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the public.
  • In-depth knowledge of billing and collection practices.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) settings.
  • Previous experience as a Business Office Manager.
