Job Description

Axis Residential, LLC is seeking a results-driven Community Director to oversee the daily operations of our 55 and older, active adult community - Affinity at Fort Collins. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with residents, prospects, and on-site staff while maintaining the highest level of customer service and community satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a high-performing office team to achieve maximum revenue potential and excellent customer service.
  • Create and maintain a community culture that enhances residents' quality of life and provides a supportive home environment.
  • Develop and implement training programs to continually improve associate performance and skills.
  • Participate in resident-led events and activities to foster a sense of community and belonging.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective leasing strategies and programs.
  • Establish and maintain occupancy and revenue goals for the community.
  • Manage daily property operations to achieve financial objectives and budgets.
  • Ensure the physical well-being and curb appeal of the community through regular property inspections and maintenance.
  • Stay informed about local market conditions and make strategic recommendations to improve the community's competitiveness.
  • Conduct thorough credit checks and background screenings for prospective residents.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and Fair Housing Laws.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in multifamily property management, preferably in a senior living or active adult community.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, staff, and vendors.
  • Proficiency in property management software, including Yardi, On-Site, and CRM solutions.
  • Valid driver's license and insured, operable vehicle.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting: 3-7 hours/day.
  • Walking: 1-3 hours/day.
  • Climbing: 0-3 hours/day, stairs.
  • Lifting: 10-25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Endurance: light to moderate energy.
  • Manual Dexterity: frequent fine motor skills.
  • Near Vision: minimal near vision.

Environmental and Safety Factors:

  • Weather: work is primarily indoors in a temperature-controlled office environment with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including uneven and slippery surfaces.
  • Noise: frequent exposure to typical office environment noise levels including conversational voice levels; infrequent exposure to high-volume office equipment (e.g., shredder).
  • Pace of Work: great, multi-tasking/pressure paced environment.
  • Driving: exposure to environmental and safety conditions related to operating a motor vehicle, including the possibility of bodily injury related to motor vehicle collisions.
