Job Title: Accounting Manager

Join our team as an Accounting Manager at AIDS Healthcare Foundation, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the accounts receivable and accounts payable staff.
  • Assist with the implementation of the organization's annual budget process, including data collection and analytics, compilation, and summary for management review.
  • Spearhead the annual single audit & financial audit process and prepare audit support documentation, and coordinate correspondence with external auditor.
  • Manage the company's financial accounts, payroll, budget, cash receipts and financial assets.
  • Oversee grant monitoring and grant site visits and prepare support documentation and coordinate correspondence with grant auditors.
  • Direct the monthly-close process and ensure reports are submitted in a timely manner & conduct monthly Affiliate-drill down meeting.

Requirements:

  • Education, Experience and Training: Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Accounting, Finance, or in a job-related field of study.
  • Must have 3-5 years of work-related experience.
  • Must have a sound understanding of fund accounting in Not-for-Profit environments and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Must understand the organization's financial operations and how they work together, including grants, budget analysis, cash forecasting, payroll, and revenue analysis.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments, and the general public.
  • Must possess knowledge of automated accounting systems, General Accepted Governmental Auditing Standards (GAGAS) and Governmental Single Audit Standards.
