Remittance Processing Associate I

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remittance Processing Associate to join our team at FIS. As a key member of our Remittance Processing team, you will play a critical role in processing customer payments and exceptions in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare customer payments for processing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform 10-key data entry of account numbers, invoice numbers, and amounts, maintaining high levels of accuracy.
- Conduct research and adjustment activities to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate processing.
- Balance credits and debits within transactions, ensuring financial integrity.
- Perform MICR line repair and other related duties as assigned.
- Work effectively under deadlines and in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Capacity to lift or move up to 20 pounds, with physical stamina to perform job duties.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact with employees and external customers/clients.
- Knowledge of practices, procedures, and problem-solving techniques required to verify and distribute computer output.

- Knowledge of practices, procedures, and problem-solving techniques involved in item processing.
- Knowledge of client specifications for remittance processing.
- Knowledge of off-line and peripheral equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to identify errors in calculations and balances, with a keen eye for detail.
- General knowledge of remittance processing, with a strong understanding of banking and financial systems.
- Banking experience, with a focus on payment processing and check handling.
- Data entry experience, with high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
- Payment processing experience, with a strong understanding of client specifications and remittance processing procedures.
