About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy's Power Transformers Charlotte facility. As a key member of our quality team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of excellence in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the manufacturing processes with specialized knowledge in power transformers.
  • Monitor process compliance with technology and manufacturing requirements of power transformers.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on quality issues.
  • Create real-time transparency for ad-hoc analysis, instant decision making, preventive action, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct on-the-job training for manufacturing staff, based on detected deviation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and customer quality standards.
  • Collaborate in the development and maintenance of business and manufacturing documentation, ensuring processes and procedures are accurately followed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
  • 10 or more years of experience in manufacturing of Power Transformers.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards specific to the Transformers manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with quality tools such as FMEA and 8D.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and external partners.
  • Ability to self-manage tasks and priorities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective English language skills (spoken, written, and comprehension).
  • Openness to work different shift schedules.
  • Openness to travel abroad for training.
