Candidates should possess relevant training and/or experience in a comparable environment. It is essential to have a strong moral character and to be free from physical or emotional issues that could hinder daily operations and the delivery of cleaning services. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in resident rooms and common areas, which encompasses vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, polishing, mopping, and disinfecting. Proper disposal of waste and assistance with general cleaning tasks are also required.

b. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: A clean and organized environment is a must. Familiarity with cleaning techniques and materials is required. The ability to recognize cleaning requirements and safety risks is essential.
c. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is necessary.
d. Physical demands include frequent lifting, bending, stretching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
e. Education: A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
f. Experience: Previous cleaning experience in healthcare or hospitality settings is advantageous.
g. Certificates/Licenses: None required.
Core Responsibilities:
The essential functions outlined below represent the duties an associate may encounter while performing the fundamental tasks of this role. While every effort has been made to identify these essential functions, this does not imply that these are the only responsibilities required.
1. Uphold the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, colleagues, and the broader community.
2. Engage actively in enhancing community occupancy by positively interacting with potential residents, their families, and professionals.
3. Conduct thorough cleaning of bathrooms, including toilets, vanities, sinks, showers, and floors with appropriate cleaning solutions.
4. Ensure kitchen areas are cleaned meticulously, including wiping down counters and mopping floors.
5. Empty waste receptacles and replace liners.
6. Dust and polish all surfaces.
7. Clean all surfaces, including windowsills, woodwork, and counters.
8. Maintain carpets through vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
9. Regularly clean all common areas and restrooms as needed.
10. Keep housekeeping carts organized and clean.
11. Perform any other assigned tasks.
12. Attend mandatory training and orientation sessions.
13. Remove, fold, and return bed linens.
14. Wash and fold linens as required.
15. Fill in for other positions as necessary during absences.
16. Clean and wash windows.
17. Dust and clean blinds.
18. Conduct general outdoor clean-up as needed.
19. Complete other duties as requested.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Good physical and mental health is essential. Dexterity in fingers and hands is required to handle and operate cleaning equipment. Visual and auditory acuity is necessary. The ability to lift a minimum of twenty-five (25) lbs. and carry objects is required. Must be able to push and pull carts and maintain mobility throughout the workday. Must utilize proper body mechanics and safely operate cleaning equipment such as mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, and buffers. Must be capable of performing routine, repetitive tasks while considering the needs of residents, visitors, and coworkers. A positive attitude towards service is essential.
Associates may be exposed to potentially infectious materials and hazardous chemicals.
