Overview

This role is pivotal in steering and managing the overall operations of our multi-family communities within the designated portfolio, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations. A key aspect of this position is to foster and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, including agencies, partners, property owners, and financial institutions. Furthermore, this role will extend support to our development, asset management, and acquisitions teams. The portfolio will encompass areas within Philadelphia, South Jersey, and North Jersey.

As a Regional Vice President, you will recognize the importance of daily interactions, fostering engaged team members, implementing robust maintenance programs, and ensuring financial responsibility. Your commitment will be towards creating and sustaining exceptional communities that endure over time. As a strategic leader, you will ensure long-term financial health, operational excellence, and resident satisfaction. You will play a crucial role in nurturing a culture where recognition is valued, accountability is a norm, and inclusivity is standard, all while contributing to our mission to Lift Lives.

Responsibilities


• Guide the organization towards achieving strategic goals and annual objectives.

• Ensure that each property meets established targets and expectations concerning financial performance, occupancy rates, safety standards, and overall appearance.

• Cultivate, train, and develop growth opportunities for property management leaders and team members.

• Guarantee compliance with regulatory and local laws, developing strategies to prevent and address any violations promptly.

• Formulate written objectives and strategies with individual property managers and the senior property management team, including manuals that outline expectations and responsibilities for each role.

• Oversee significant contract work, prepare capital expenditure and operating budgets, and manage outcomes with the support of the Regional Facility Director.

• Collaborate with asset management teams to create and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for each asset, providing financial updates and variances as necessary for executive management.

• Ensure the operations team continuously seeks to enhance property operations and curb appeal, with a focus on increasing revenue, strategically reducing expenses, and fostering relationships with tenants, vendors, and brokers.

• Stay updated on economic and demographic trends within each property market.

• Communicate effectively and with appropriate detail to executive management regarding the operational strategy and results for each market.

• Provide leadership insights to innovate property operations, maximizing revenue streams and leveraging technology to scale effective initiatives quickly.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in multi-family community operations or management, with a preference for experience in Military, Student, Market Rate, and/or Affordable housing.

Required Education/Training:

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred.

• Industry designations such as CAM, ARM, or CPM are preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.

• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to connect and collaborate with others.

• Proficient in facilitating presentations or speaking publicly to large audiences.

• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.

• Ability to multitask while maintaining flexibility and creativity in various situations.

• Proficient in analyzing and resolving issues.

• Ability to set and achieve goals while consistently meeting deadlines.

• Capacity to maintain confidentiality.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with property management software programs.

Working Conditions:

1. Must be able to work non-standard hours and undertake frequent travel (approximately 50%) to all assets within the portfolio.
2. Availability during nights and weekends is required.
