Job Summary

Height Capital Markets is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President/Financial Policy Analyst to join our research team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking policy and regulation, with a proven track record of conducting open-source research, providing written policy updates and analysis, and attending hearings and events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research on financial policy and regulation, including analyzing legislation and policy related to financial institutions, banking, and capital markets.
  • Provide written policy updates and analysis to senior management and clients.
  • Attend hearings and events related to financial policy and regulation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in Washington's policy, legal, and political communities.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and trends in financial policy and regulation.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in banking policy or regulation, including Congress or the executive agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation and policy related to financial institutions, banking, and capital markets.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in markets, including a Series 7 or other FINRA registrations.
  • Knowledge and experience in policy areas such as GSEs, CFPB policy, consumer lending, mortgage finance, security exchanges, regional/community banks, cannabis banking, and crypto.
What We Offer
  • $85,000-$140,000 annual salary plus bonus, depending on candidate experience.
