Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide technical support and consulting to customers on service solutions, including installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of electrical distribution equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and consulting to customers on service solutions
  • Execute projects including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment
  • Determine effective service applications, equipment, and methods to develop, market, or manufacture new service offerings
  • Identify new sales opportunities and communicate with customers and internal sales teams
  • Complete customer reports, timesheets, expenses, safety paperwork, and other daily required tasks
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a field service technician
  • Experience leading small crews on the job
  • Power delivery experience, including Transformers, LIS Switches, Low and Medium voltage switchgear, breaker maintenance and startup on Low and Medium voltage breakers, Motor control centers, cable testing
  • Experience in completing customer reports, timesheets, expenses, safety paperwork, etc.
  • Understanding of NFPA 70E (safety guidelines in the field)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Protection and control experience, including different types of relays, programming, installation, testing, and upgrading
  • ATS, generator, motor, and drive experience
  • PLC experience
  • Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers
  • Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of medium voltage synchronous machines
