Director of Retail Operations

Job Summary:
Dollar General Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Regional Director to lead the activities of all stores within a designated area of operation. As a key member of the company's leadership team, this individual will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational excellence across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead store teams, including Area Managers and store management, to achieve sales growth, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve store performance, including sales growth, inventory management, and customer service.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business results, including merchandising, marketing, and supply chain.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess performance, provide coaching and feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manage regional budgets, including labor, inventory, and operating expenses.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including store managers, area managers, and district managers.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with four+ years of multi-unit management experience and seven+ years of retail experience with full P&L responsibility.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and achieving operational excellence.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make informed business decisions.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
