Job Summary:

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Regional Director to lead the activities of all stores within a designated area of operation. As a key member of the company's leadership team, this individual will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of excellence within the retail organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead store teams, including Area Managers and store management, to achieve sales growth, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve store performance, including sales growth, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business results, including merchandising, marketing, and supply chain.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to store managers and Area Managers to enhance their leadership skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and analyze store performance metrics, including sales, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve store operations, including scheduling, training, and employee development.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including store managers, Area Managers, and district managers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with four+ years of multi-unit management experience and seven+ years of retail experience with full P&L responsibility.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth, improving operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of excellence within a retail organization.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed business decisions.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
