About the Role

The American Heart Association is seeking a seasoned development professional to lead our Oregon and SW Washington Division as Vice President, Development. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and drive breakthroughs in cardiovascular and brain health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive development strategy to achieve ambitious growth in total and unrestricted revenue.
  • Lead a team of development professionals to own and achieve campaign goals and objectives.
  • Identify, recruit, and engage volunteer leaders to champion the success of all campaigns.
  • Prospect, secure, and cultivate donors and corporate sponsors.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to ensure achievement of organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of leadership experience in a comparable non-profit or sales organization.
  • Experience recruiting, engaging, and activating executive-level corporate and medical volunteers.
  • Demonstrated track record in building effective teams and achieving aggressive goals.
