Junior Manufacturing Engineer

Job Overview: Agora Edge is on the lookout for a motivated and tech-oriented Junior Manufacturing Engineer to become a part of our team, specializing in the production of soft goods. This position will focus on supporting fundamental industrial operations, employing software tools, applying knowledge of robotics, and assisting the Quality Manager in upholding quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Enhancement: Aid in evaluating manufacturing workflows to uncover areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and quality. Suggest and implement strategies to enhance production processes. A background in time studies is essential.
- Software Application: Employ software tools for data analysis, process tracking, and workflow enhancement. Familiarity with software platforms such as CAD/CAM, ERP systems, and data analytics tools is advantageous.
- Quality Assurance Support: Assist in performing tests and inspections on materials, components, and finished products using specialized equipment. Prepare and maintain documentation related to testing protocols, outcomes, and quality control records. Support the Quality Manager in executing corrective and preventive measures to tackle quality concerns.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Engage in ongoing improvement projects aimed at boosting product quality, minimizing waste, and enhancing efficiency in the manufacturing process. Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to resolve production challenges.
- Training and Documentation: Offer training and support to production personnel on new processes, equipment, or software tools. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborative Efforts: Work alongside engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless execution of manufacturing processes and successful implementation of improvement initiatives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with basic industrial functions, including process optimization, manufacturing principles, and quality management.
- Proficiency in software tools commonly utilized in manufacturing settings, such as Excel, CAD/CAM software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze data, identify trends, and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Prior internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
