Position Overview:The Microbiology Analyst I will play a vital role in supporting the Microbiology Department through data management and executing Environmental Microbiological assessments, including Filtration Testing, alongside maintaining the cleanliness of the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with and conduct membrane filtration for sterility evaluations.
- Carry out environmental monitoring tasks, including Viable Surface, Viable Air, and Particulate Testing.
- Perform endotoxin assessments.
- Maintain comprehensive daily logs and accurate documentation.
- Conduct sample plate enumeration and media fill evaluations.
- Support laboratory inventory management and equipment upkeep.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all activities.
- Execute laboratory cleaning and biohazard waste disposal.
- Fulfill additional job-related responsibilities as necessary.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences.
- Preferred laboratory experience.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain gowning qualifications and adhere to Personal Protective Equipment requirements.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with team members.
- Capability to work independently on scientific projects.
- Strong technical writing skills, including the ability to author and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or technical reports.
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
